Think pink

Oooh, it must be all the lovely sunshine (yay) but im felling unusually girlie, i keep being drawn to pink things?! (i think its the promise of flowers in the garden and the thought of summer weddings). Here are a few of the pink things that have caught my little eye.

wallpaper pondering

I have been pondering which wallpaper would be best in our living/dining room for a while now(about 2 years?!). My absolute fave wallpaper is this one by orla keily but it didnt match what we had in our living space. I did some searching but nothing was right or i just didnt love it as much as my fave. So with a small kick in the right direction from project simplify i've made up my mind to get my fave wallpaper and change everythig else to match it!, simple really should have thought of it ages ago!
Only one problem, does anyone know how to caculate how much wallpaper to buy ???? (ive got a door, window and a radiater on the wall i want to put it on and im not great with maths, is there a foolproof way?) x.

Oooooh, i want theese soooo much. Spotted theese on the john lewis website while looking for decorating inspiration. Love Donna Wilsons creations.I have looked at her wool cushions in the past and thought lovely but too many pennies for me to spend but theese are a bit cheaper. Which one to choose tho? Badger, no squirrel?? I want them all!.

project simplify

I spotted project simplify whilst looking at oyster and pearl and thought what a good idea: a giant spring clean and de-clutter is exactly what our house is crying out for. There are so many half started decorating projects and furniture that could work so much better in a different room and a year's worth of baby tat and toys that need sorting. I thought i should totaly do this!! So i did - in the most un-simple manner possible! I started in almost every room chucking stuff out, moving that furniture, painting walls, i created havoc everywhere!! I dont think this was what lottie had in mind!! Oh well hopefully after all the chaos, peace and harmony will rein. Or at least our house will look better (eventually).
So with all this in mind and the decorating fire in my belly i have been spotting decorating inspiration everywhere so i think there may be quite a few posts of house stuff i like (i dont think getting more stuff will help project simplify but hey ho).
Just loved the colours and lightness in theese rooms. Yum.
Here's to a good old fashioned sping clean! x.

Hello march!!

Well march has been pretty good so far!(vast improvement on feb thats for sure). We've had some sunshine and warmer weather, yey! and alot less illnes (phew). I did get a new spring jacket (blue, from topshop) but the duffle coat is still lurking, just in case (maybe it can go in the wardrobe this month?). There are the newest buds of lush green on trees and tulips, daffs and forget-me-nots in the garden, colour will be everywhere soon.
Easter was great, visiting family, walks in the welsh countryside and my mother in laws trifle, mmmm. And then a trip to Brighton to meet the newest member of our family Max. Weather was rubbish and rainy but the shopping was great. Got to visit one of my fave shops castor and pollux and fell in love with theese lovely prints.
